Dr. Sinda Lepetre-Mouelhi est Maître de Conférence depuis 2006 à l’Institut Galien Paris-Sud (Univ. Paris-Sud) à Châtenay-Malabry (France) et travaille dans l’équipe du Prof. Patrick Couvreur. Elle a obtenu en 1997 son diplôme de DEA en « Hétérochimie, Catalyse et Polymères » à la Faculté des Sciences de Montpellier 2, puis a soutenu en 2001 sa Thèse de Doctorat en Chimie Organique à l’Université de Cergy-Pontoise sous la direction du Prof. M. Bellassoued. Son sujet de thèse a consisté à mettre au point une nouvelle voie d’accès directe aux acides (E)-a,?-éthyléniques via un synthon trisilylé. Après la thèse, elle a été recrutée par l’ONU pour effectuer une mission au Kosovo comme International Trainer pendant 18 mois. En 2003 elle a effectué son premier stage post-doctoral en Chimie Médicinale à la Faculté de Pharmacie de Châtenay-Malabry (BioCIS-UMR 8076) avec le Pr. S. Sicsic. Elle a ensuite travaillé pendant quelques mois en 2004 dans le groupe Sanofi-Aventis de Chilly-Mazarin en Chimie Médicinale. En 2005 elle effectue son 2ème stage Post-doctoral en Chimie Thérapeutique appliquée à la Galénique à l’Institut Galien Paris-Sud avec le Prof. Patrick. Couvreur à la suite duquel elle est nommée Maître de Conférence. Elle (co-)dirige actuellement 3 unités d’enseignements : UE120, UE294, UE19. Sa thématique de recherche porte essentiellement sur la synthèse de bioconjugués à base de squalène et leur formulation sous forme de nanoparticules. Les pathologies sur lesquelles elle travaille sont le cancer, le HIV et plus récemment l’ischémie cérébrale et hépatique, ainsi que la douleur. Elle est co-auteur de 35 publications dans des journaux à comité de lecture et d’un chapitre d’ouvrage.

Dr. Sinda Lepetre-Mouelhi is Associate Professor since 2006 at Institut Galien (Paris-Sud University) in Châtenay-Malabry (France) and works in the team of Prof. Patrick Couvreur. She obtained a Master Degree in "Heterochemistry, Catalysis and Polymers" in 1997 at the Faculty of Sciences of Montpellier 2 (France), and completed her PhD in Organic Chemistry in 2002 under the supervision of Prof. M. Bellassoued at the University of Cergy-Pontoise (France). During her thesis she developped a new direct access route to (E)-a,?-ethylenic acids via a trisilylated building block. After her thesis, she was recruited by the UN for a mission in Kosovo as International Trainer for 18 months. In 2003, she started her first post-doctoral internship in Medicinal Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Châtenay-Malabry (BioCIS-UMR 8076) with Prof. S. Sicsic. Then, in 2004, she worked during a few months at Sanofi-Aventis in Chilly-Mazarin in the medicinal chemistry field. In 2005 she joined the group of Prof. Patrick Couvreur as a post-doctoral researcher in Therapeutic Chemistry and Formulation at Institut Galien and got an Associate Professor position. She currently (co-)directs 3 teaching units: UE120, UE294, UE19. Her current research activity lies in the synthesis of squalene-based bioconjugates and their formulation into nanoparticles. The main fields of application include cancer, HIV, and more recently, cerebral and hepatic ischemia, as well as pain. She is co-author of 35 peer review articles in international journals and one book chapter.
